Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited’s Tameer Trust has partnered with The Dawood Foundation (TDF) to expand access to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education for children from underserved communities. Under the partnership, students will be sponsored to visit the MagnifiScience Centre, where they will have the opportunity to engage with science through interactive activities and hands-on learning experiences. The initiative is aimed at providing children with greater exposure to practical science education and creating opportunities for learning beyond conventional classroom settings.
The partnership will allow sponsored students from underserved communities to experience the facilities and educational activities available at the MagnifiScience Centre. Through interactive exhibits and experiential learning, children will be able to explore scientific concepts in an engaging environment. The initiative is part of efforts by both organisations to make STEM education more accessible to young people who may otherwise have limited opportunities to participate in such learning experiences.
Wafi Energy Pakistan Chief Executive Officer Zubair Shaikh said the future of Pakistan depends on how young people learn and develop today. He said the partnership was intended to help more children experience STEM learning through a different and more engaging approach. Shaikh added that Wafi Energy was pleased to continue its association with The Dawood Foundation and support initiatives that allow young people to learn and explore through practical experiences.

The agreement was formally signed by Zubair Shaikh, Chief Executive Officer of Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited, and Favad Soomro, Chief Executive Officer of The Dawood Foundation. Senior representatives from both organisations attended the signing ceremony, including Imran Qureshi, Director Corporate & Government Relations at Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited, and Christoph S. Sprung, Chief Governance Officer at The Dawood Foundation. Their participation reflected the involvement of both organisations in establishing the partnership and supporting its implementation.
