NIBAF Pakistan to Hold Digital Literacy and AI Training for Finance Professionals on November 24, 2026

NIBAF Pakistan has announced a specialized one-day training program on digital literacy and artificial intelligence readiness for finance professionals, scheduled for November 24, 2026, at its Karachi campus. The program is designed to help participants strengthen their understanding of digital tools and emerging technologies as financial institutions adapt to changing operational requirements. It will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a training fee of PKR 18,000 per participant, plus applicable taxes. The nomination deadline is November 23, 2026.

The training is intended for professionals working across several areas of finance and financial services, including finance managers, finance officers, accountants, financial analysts, internal auditors, risk management specialists, fraud risk and forensic professionals, compliance officers, senior management and finance leaders. These roles increasingly require employees to understand how digital systems affect financial reporting, decision-making, internal controls and organisational performance. The program offers an opportunity for participants from different professional backgrounds to explore the relevance of digital literacy and artificial intelligence to their responsibilities.

Artificial intelligence is becoming an important subject for organisations examining ways to improve data analysis, automate selected tasks and support business decisions. In finance, digital tools can assist with processing information, identifying patterns, preparing reports and monitoring operational activity. However, their effective use also requires professionals to understand the limitations of technology, evaluate the quality of information and maintain appropriate oversight. The NIBAF Pakistan program aims to develop awareness of digital capabilities and AI readiness, helping participants consider how emerging tools may support their work.

The training also has relevance for professionals involved in risk management, auditing, fraud prevention and compliance. Financial institutions must maintain effective controls while adopting new technologies, particularly when systems handle confidential information or support important financial decisions. Digital literacy can help professionals better understand technology-driven processes, assess operational implications and identify areas where human review remains necessary. For audit and compliance teams, an understanding of evolving digital practices can support discussions about accountability, governance and the management of technology-related risks.

The program will be facilitated by Muhammad Shehzad Dhedhi, a Fellow Chartered Accountant with more than 24 years of international experience in financial strategy, corporate governance and institutional leadership, according to the announcement. His professional background includes strategic roles at HBL, Credit Suisse and Bank Alfalah. He is also the founder of CFO Club Pakistan and the chief executive officer of ESGHexa. His experience across financial institutions and leadership initiatives is relevant to a training program focused on the relationship between digital capabilities, business performance and financial management.

Through the session, participants are expected to strengthen their understanding of digital tools and AI readiness while examining how emerging technologies may contribute to more informed financial decisions and improved operational efficiency. For finance leaders, technology awareness can help with evaluating new systems and determining whether potential applications align with organisational objectives. For professionals working in auditing, compliance and risk management, it can also provide a basis for considering the controls and oversight needed when digital tools are introduced into existing processes.

The announcement comes as financial institutions continue to assess technology adoption across their operations. Digital financial services, data-driven analysis and automated workflows are changing the skills required in many finance-related roles. Training initiatives that explain these developments can help professionals identify relevant learning priorities and prepare for changing workplace expectations. The practical benefits of any training program will depend on its detailed curriculum and how participants apply the knowledge to their own responsibilities.
