NIBAF Pakistan has successfully conducted a two-day face-to-face Capacity-Building Program for Shariah Scholars in collaboration with Jamia Tul Mustafa, Karachi. The specialised programme was held on September 14 and 15, 2026, at Jamia Tul Mustafa in Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi, with a focus on strengthening the technical finance capacity of Shariah scholars.
Jamia Tul Mustafa served as the stakeholder and partner for the programme, while Syed Jawad Hasan Rizvi facilitated the two-day capacity-building initiative. The programme brought together an academic and religious stakeholder group as part of NIBAF Pakistan’s broader efforts to expand its outreach and strengthen understanding of Islamic finance.
The initiative reflects NIBAF Pakistan’s focus on developing technical finance capabilities among stakeholders connected with the Islamic financial ecosystem. By engaging with Shariah scholars through specialised capacity-building programmes, the institution aims to support greater awareness and understanding of financial concepts relevant to Islamic finance.
The two-day programme was conducted in a face-to-face format at Jamia Tul Mustafa, providing participants with an in-person learning environment. The collaboration also represents engagement between financial education institutions and religious and academic stakeholders in support of capacity development.
NIBAF Pakistan said it remains committed to expanding its outreach across academic, religious and regulatory stakeholders. Such programmes form part of its efforts to build technical finance capacity and contribute to the development of a stronger Islamic financial ecosystem in Pakistan.
The programme at Jamia Tul Mustafa adds to these outreach efforts by providing a dedicated capacity-building platform for Shariah scholars. NIBAF Pakistan’s continued engagement with different stakeholder groups is aimed at supporting the development of knowledge and technical capabilities needed for a robust Islamic financial system.
