Sky47 Hosts Meezan Bank Delegation to Discuss Secure and Resilient Banking Infrastructure

Sky47 Limited hosted a senior delegation from Meezan Bank Limited at its Data Center as the two organisations held discussions around resilient, secure and future-ready banking infrastructure. The strategic visit focused on the infrastructure requirements supporting mission-critical banking operations and explored how secure and scalable technology environments can contribute to the next phase of digital transformation within the financial sector.

The Meezan Bank delegation was led by Ali Imran Khan, Chief Information Officer, and included Musaab Raja, Head of Enterprise Technology Service, and Malik Zia Ur Rehman, Senior Manager of Information Technology. Their visit provided an opportunity to examine Sky47’s Data Center infrastructure and discuss technology considerations that are increasingly important for banks as digital services continue to expand and operational requirements become more demanding.

The delegation was received by senior members of Sky47 Limited, including Muhammad Ali, Chief Technology and Information Officer; Tauseef Aslam, Chief Information Security Officer; Zohaib Iqbal, Senior Manager of Data Center Planning and Development; Asim Taj, Cloud and IT Infrastructure Expert; and Muhammad Umair, Business Manager. The engagement brought together technology and infrastructure professionals from both organisations to discuss areas connected to the reliability, security and scalability of banking technology environments.

Discussions during the engagement centred on infrastructure resilience and cybersecurity, with the participants also examining scalability and business continuity requirements. These areas remain important for banking institutions that rely on technology infrastructure to support a wide range of critical services and maintain operational readiness. The discussions also covered the need for infrastructure environments that can support evolving technology requirements while maintaining the reliability and security expected for financial operations.

A key focus of the engagement was Sky47’s secure, sovereign and AI-ready infrastructure and its potential role in supporting mission-critical banking operations. The discussions explored how such infrastructure capabilities could help address the technology demands associated with the continued digital transformation of financial institutions. The emphasis on AI-ready infrastructure also reflects the increasing relevance of advanced computing capabilities as organisations evaluate new technology applications and expand their digital environments.

The visit also provided a platform for the two organisations to exchange perspectives on operational readiness. For banking institutions, maintaining continuity across technology infrastructure is closely connected with the ability to deliver services consistently and manage operational requirements. The discussions around business continuity and infrastructure resilience therefore formed an important part of the engagement between the Meezan Bank and Sky47 teams.

The participation of senior technology representatives from both organisations highlights the importance of collaboration and direct engagement in assessing the infrastructure needs of the banking sector. As banks continue to develop their digital capabilities, technology infrastructure must increasingly address requirements related to security, scalability, continuity and operational performance. The Data Center visit provided an opportunity for the participating teams to discuss these requirements in the context of current and future banking operations.

The engagement between Sky47 Limited and Meezan Bank Limited reflects continued attention toward building technology environments capable of supporting the changing requirements of Pakistan’s banking industry. By focusing on secure infrastructure, cybersecurity, scalability, business continuity and AI readiness, the strategic visit centred on the technological foundations needed to support mission-critical operations and future digital transformation initiatives.
