The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Executive Director Relationships Lucia Real Martin GAICD, along with the leadership team of ACCA Pakistan, met with Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar (S.I), Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, to discuss opportunities for collaboration in areas relevant to the country’s higher education sector.
The meeting focused on identifying shared priorities and exploring ways in which ACCA and the Higher Education Commission could work together to support the evolving requirements of higher education. Discussions centred on strengthening academic institutions and developing initiatives that can contribute to the continued improvement of the education sector.
A key area of discussion was enhancing the capacity of academia through knowledge sharing. The engagement highlighted the importance of connecting academic institutions with professional expertise and broader international developments so that educators and institutions can better respond to changing requirements in education and professional learning.
The participants also discussed the role of global trends and international best practices in supporting the development of higher education. Access to international knowledge and professional experience can help academic institutions assess emerging developments and consider approaches that are relevant to Pakistan’s education environment.
