NIBAF Pakistan is set to conduct a two-day practical workshop titled “SBP Digital Drive: Regulatory Compliance for E-Banking Products” at its Karachi Campus on October 7 and 8, 2026. The programme will focus on regulatory compliance requirements related to digital and e-banking products and is designed for professionals working across compliance, risk, digital banking, technology and other related functions within financial institutions.
The workshop will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both days at NIBAF Pakistan’s Karachi Campus. The training investment has been set at PKR 36,000 plus applicable tax per participant. NIBAF Pakistan has set October 6, 2026, as the last date for nominations, allowing interested organizations and professionals to complete their registrations before the programme begins.
The programme is intended for a broad range of banking and financial-sector professionals whose responsibilities involve digital products, regulatory requirements and institutional risk. The target audience includes compliance and regulatory affairs professionals, risk management and operational risk teams, digital banking and e-banking teams, product development leads, technology and information technology teams, information security and cybersecurity professionals, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance officers, as well as internal audit teams.
The workshop will be facilitated by Ms. Saima Hameed, who has experience spanning commercial banking and the State Bank of Pakistan. According to NIBAF Pakistan, she has five years of commercial banking experience and 18 years of professional experience at the central bank. Her work has included policy matters relating to banking and foreign exchange, as well as initiatives involving digital financial services and technology-enabled banking.
Her areas of involvement have included the regulatory framework for the acquisition of services from abroad, the trade-based money laundering framework, Roshan Digital Accounts and associated products, Roshan Digital Business Accounts, Freelancer Accounts and the automation of Proof of Remittance Certificates. She has also been involved in the nationwide launch of the Banking-as-a-Service model and a subsidized digital lending solution under the Prime Minister’s Fan Replacement Program.
Saima Hameed is also described by NIBAF Pakistan as a trainer certified by IAPPD Global, UK, and conducts knowledge-sharing sessions for internal and external customers of the State Bank of Pakistan. Her professional background includes foreign qualifications in economics and certification as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. She has also contributed to SBP newsletters, blogs and other publications.
The workshop comes as digital banking products and electronic financial services require institutions to manage regulatory, operational, technology and security considerations alongside product development. By bringing together professionals from compliance, risk, technology, cybersecurity, AML/CFT and internal audit functions, the programme is structured to address the different areas involved in maintaining compliance for e-banking products.
NIBAF Pakistan has invited eligible professionals and organizations to submit nominations and register for the workshop ahead of the October 6 deadline. Registration and nomination information is available through registration@nibaf.gov.pk and marketing@nibaf.org.pk.
