NIBAF Pakistan Completes Module 3 Of Islamic Banking Certificate Course IBCC-79

NIBAF Pakistan has successfully conducted Module 3 of its Islamic Banking Certificate Course (IBCC-79) at its Karachi Campus, providing commercial banking professionals and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) officers with specialized training in Islamic banking operations and related financial frameworks. The six-day module was held from September 14 to September 19, 2026, and was delivered by a panel of expert trainers.

The latest module was structured to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the operational aspects of Islamic banking. The programme covered complex Islamic financing modes, Shariah compliance frameworks, risk management approaches and the practical execution of Islamic banking products. These areas are relevant to professionals working in both commercial banking institutions and central banking functions.

The training brought together professionals from commercial banks along with officers of the State Bank of Pakistan. By involving participants from both areas of the financial system, the programme provided a learning environment focused on the operational and regulatory dimensions of Islamic banking. The course content was designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of how Islamic financing structures and related banking products are implemented in professional settings.

A major component of Module 3 focused on Islamic financing modes and their practical application. Participants were provided with technical exposure to different financing structures used within Islamic banking and the considerations involved in implementing these products. The training also addressed the importance of ensuring that financing arrangements remain aligned with applicable Shariah requirements.

Shariah compliance was another key area covered during the six-day programme. Participants examined frameworks relevant to maintaining compliance within Islamic banking operations, while the inclusion of risk management topics addressed the need for financial institutions to identify and manage risks associated with Islamic financing and product execution.

The practical focus of the module also connected technical concepts with their application in banking environments. Participants from commercial banks and the central banking side were able to engage with areas relating to product execution, operational processes and the broader requirements associated with Islamic financial services.

The IBCC-79 programme forms part of NIBAF Pakistan’s professional training activities in Islamic banking and finance. Through specialized courses and modules, the institution provides banking professionals with opportunities to develop technical knowledge and strengthen their understanding of financial products, Shariah frameworks and banking practices.

The completion of Module 3 adds another training component to the Islamic Banking Certificate Course, with the latest session covering areas that are relevant to professionals involved in Islamic banking operations, supervision and risk management. NIBAF Pakistan continues to conduct specialized capacity-building programmes aimed at developing professional competencies across Pakistan’s financial services sector.
