Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan has expanded its branch network with the inauguration of a new branch at New Metro City in Sarai Alamgir, continuing its nationwide expansion strategy. The new branch is intended to strengthen the bank’s physical presence in a growing commercial and residential area while complementing its existing digital banking capabilities. The opening has received a positive response from local business leaders, community representatives and other stakeholders, with the bank reporting strong momentum from the beginning of operations.
The expansion is part of DIB Pakistan’s broader initiative to increase its presence across fast-growing commercial centres and provide customers with greater access to banking services. The bank said its growing physical network is intended to complement its digital channels and bring its international banking offering closer to customers in different regions of Pakistan. The new branch was inaugurated by Muhammad Ali Gulfaraz, Chief Executive Officer of DIB Pakistan, in the presence of business leaders, community representatives and other key stakeholders from Sarai Alamgir and surrounding areas. Speaking at the inauguration, Gulfaraz said DIB Pakistan was expanding at a significant pace and building on the momentum achieved during the previous year. He said the bank is targeting the opening of another 75 branches during the current year as part of its objective to establish a comprehensive presence across different regions of Pakistan while maintaining international banking service standards.
During the branch opening, DIB Pakistan’s management team also met with members of the local business community to understand the changing financial requirements of businesses and individuals in the region. Discussions covered areas including company accounts, remittance accounts and foreign currency deposits. These interactions provided the bank with an opportunity to assess the requirements of customers in Sarai Alamgir and surrounding areas while introducing them to the services available through the newly established branch.
Local customers and community representatives welcomed the establishment of the new banking facility and expressed appreciation for the availability of a modern bank branch in the area. According to the bank, customers said the branch could support business activity and contribute to economic development by improving access to financial services for individuals and companies. The presence of a physical banking location is also expected to provide customers with direct access to banking support while complementing the digital services already offered by DIB Pakistan.
