NIBAF Pakistan Holds Mid-Career Management Development Program 2026

NIBAF Pakistan is conducting its flagship three-week Mid-Career Management Development Program (MMDP) at its Karachi Campus, bringing together officers from the State Bank of Pakistan, State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation and NIBAF Pakistan. The executive capacity-building programme is running from September 21 to October 10, 2026, and is focused on strengthening professional capabilities across areas relevant to central banking, financial institutions and management responsibilities.

The programme has been structured as an intensive executive development initiative for mid-career professionals. Throughout the three-week programme, participating officers are being exposed to a range of subjects covering financial stability, digital technology, cybersecurity, human resources and executive leadership. The programme is intended to provide participants with practical knowledge and perspectives that can be applied to their professional responsibilities within Pakistan’s central banking and financial institutional environment.

The facilitator panel includes professionals from several departments of the State Bank of Pakistan as well as other areas of expertise. Muhammad Sadiq Ansari from the Financial Stability Department, Zeila Tahir from the Human Resources Department and S.M. Khalil Naqvi from the Finance Department are among the facilitators contributing to the programme. Their participation brings departmental experience in financial stability, human resource management and finance into the executive learning environment.

The programme also features Asim Iqbal, Chief Technology Officer, who is contributing expertise related to digital technology and technology management. Sadaf Baqir, Assistant Director in the Information Technology Planning and Project Management Department at the State Bank of Pakistan, is also part of the facilitator panel. Their involvement reflects the programme’s focus on technology and the role of digital capabilities in the changing operating environment of financial institutions.

Cybersecurity is another key area included in the programme, with Syed Adnan Ahmed, Assistant Director in the Cyber Security Department of the State Bank of Pakistan, serving as one of the facilitators. The inclusion of cybersecurity within the executive development programme reflects the increasing importance of resilience and digital risk management for financial institutions as banking operations become more dependent on technology and interconnected systems.

The facilitator panel further includes Shireen Naqvi and Mian Ather, adding to the range of professional perspectives available to participating officers. Together, the facilitators are delivering sessions designed to provide actionable insights across financial stability, digital technology, cybersecurity resilience, strategic human resource management and executive leadership. The programme therefore combines technical and management-focused subjects within a single three-week learning structure.

The MMDP is being held at NIBAF Pakistan’s Karachi Campus from September 21 through October 10, 2026. The participation of officers from the State Bank of Pakistan, State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation and NIBAF Pakistan provides a cross-institutional setting for professional development. Such programmes also create an environment where participants from different functions can engage with subjects beyond their immediate departmental responsibilities.

NIBAF Pakistan has positioned the initiative as part of its continued focus on developing the capabilities of central banking professionals and strengthening leadership across financial institutions. By bringing together experienced facilitators and mid-career officers, the programme addresses both specialised areas such as financial stability and cybersecurity and broader management capabilities required for senior professional responsibilities.

The three-week initiative highlights the role of structured executive training in preparing financial-sector professionals for changing institutional requirements. With financial technology, cybersecurity, organisational management and financial stability increasingly interconnected, the MMDP provides participants with exposure to multiple areas that influence the work of modern central banking institutions. The programme is scheduled to conclude on October 10, following three weeks of executive capacity-building sessions at the Karachi Campus.
