Mari Energies and xLoop Launch Tech Training with Guaranteed Hiring for Underserved Youth

Mari Energies Limited and xLoop, a global artificial intelligence engineering and consulting firm, have officially inaugurated the Mari Digital Skills Training and Employment Program. This fully funded five-month initiative is specifically designed to provide high-level technical education to one hundred students from some of Pakistan’s most underserved and remote communities. The program represents a major effort to bridge the digital divide by targeting youth from interior Sindh, Waziristan, and regions situated near the operational fields of Mari Energies. By providing these individuals with the tools to succeed in the modern economy, the partnership aims to create sustainable livelihoods and foster long-term regional development.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the xLoop corporate office in Karachi, bringing together senior representatives and stakeholders from both organizations. This event marked a significant milestone in their shared mission to promote digital inclusion and social mobility through education. Unlike traditional training programs, this initiative goes beyond classroom learning by offering a comprehensive curriculum that includes web development, artificial intelligence, coding, and essential career readiness skills. A key feature of the program is the guaranteed job placement for successful graduates, ensuring that the technical skills acquired are immediately translated into professional opportunities within the technology sector.

The academic and technical delivery of the program is managed through xCelerate, the dedicated training and upskilling arm of xLoop. The curriculum is meticulously structured to be industry-aligned, providing hands-on experience in high-demand technology tracks. Students will undergo intensive modules covering AI and machine learning, cloud-native development, cybersecurity, and data engineering. These fields represent the fastest-growing segments of the global digital economy, and the training is designed to meet the rigorous standards expected by international tech firms. Upon successful completion, xLoop will hire all candidates and integrate them into international cloud and AI projects as part of its global taskforce, making this a first-of-its-kind model in the country where the training organization directly employs the entire graduating cohort.

The selection of students from areas like Waziristan and interior Sindh underscores a strategic focus on geographical equity and strict meritocracy. Naseem Qamar, Director HSE at Mari Energies, emphasized that despite high demand and numerous applications from various regions, the enrollment process was strictly merit-based to ensure the most dedicated talent from remote areas could access world-class training. By covering the full cost of the program, Mari Energies and xLoop are removing the financial hurdles that often prevent talented individuals from pursuing careers in the technology landscape, particularly during times of global economic uncertainty. This focus on merit ensures that the program identifies true potential in regions that are often overlooked by the mainstream tech industry.

Ali Abbassi, VP Training at xLoop and Head of xCelerate, described the initiative as true excellence from a corporate social responsibility perspective, aiming to equip students with lifelong skills rather than temporary relief. He highlighted that the next five months of focused effort would open doors to limitless opportunities for the participants. Complementing the technical modules, Omema Kamran, Head of HR at xLoop, leads the soft skills development, ensuring that students are prepared for the professional workplace regardless of their background. This program stands as a testament to the power of public-private collaboration in transforming the economic prospects of the next generation through digital empowerment and guaranteed employment in the global AI market.
