NIBAF Pakistan organized an industry exposure visit to Askari Bank’s IT Infrastructure Facility as part of the Cyber Risk Officers Scheme (CROS-1) Pre-Induction Training Program. The visit was held on September 3, 2026, and provided officer trainees with an opportunity to gain practical exposure to the technology environment of a modern banking institution.
The activity was designed as an experiential learning opportunity, allowing participants to move beyond classroom-based training and observe technology and information security practices within an operational banking environment. During the visit, the officer trainees participated in an interactive session with Askari Bank’s Technology and Information Security teams.
The visit provided participants with practical insights into several areas of banking technology and risk management. These included the bank’s technology environment, core systems, system integration, technology governance, and cybersecurity controls. Exposure to these areas allowed the trainees to better understand how technology infrastructure supports modern banking operations and how security controls are incorporated into the technology environment.
