Internal Audit Certification Program Strengthens Governance and Risk Management at NIBAF Pakistan

Karachi, January 19, 2026: NIBAF Pakistan successfully conducted its Internal Audit Certification Program from January 14–16, 2026 at the Karachi campus, focusing on enhancing audit competencies, risk awareness, and governance practices among central banking and payment system professionals.

The program brought together officers from the State Bank of Pakistan – Banking Services Corporation (SBP-BSC) and the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (PSPC), reflecting a collaborative effort to strengthen institutional oversight and auditing capabilities across key financial entities.

The three-day face-to-face program was facilitated by industry experts Mr. Naushad Siddiqui and Mr. Hussein Hassan Ali, who guided participants through internal audit standards, risk-based auditing techniques, regulatory compliance, and emerging best practices tailored for evolving financial sector requirements.

Participants engaged in comprehensive sessions covering practical approaches to audit planning, execution, and reporting. Emphasis was placed on risk assessment, governance frameworks, and alignment with regulatory guidelines, ensuring that officers are equipped to implement effective internal controls within their organizations.

The program also highlighted the importance of adopting internationally recognized auditing standards and integrating structured audit methodologies to improve oversight and accountability.
