NIBAF Pakistan Announces Power Query Data Cleaning and Automation Workshop

NIBAF Pakistan is set to conduct a one-day technical workshop on Microsoft Power Query, focusing on data cleaning, transformation and automation for professionals working with business and analytical data. The hands-on training session, titled “Mastering Power Query: Data Cleaning, Transformation and Automation,” will take place at the NIBAF Pakistan Karachi Campus on October 15, 2026, providing participants with a full-day learning programme focused on practical applications of the data preparation tool.

The workshop is scheduled from 9:00am to 5:00pm and is aimed at professionals who regularly work with data, reporting and visualisation. The target audience includes business analysts and data analysts, finance and accounting professionals, as well as sales and marketing professionals involved in analytics and visualisation. The programme is also intended for professionals and executives who want to develop their skills in Microsoft Power Query and use it more effectively in their day-to-day work.

Power Query is widely used for preparing and transforming data before analysis and reporting. The workshop’s focus on data cleaning, transformation and automation is designed to help participants work with data more efficiently and develop practical skills that can be applied to recurring analytical tasks. The hands-on format is intended to give participants direct exposure to the processes involved rather than limiting the session to theoretical discussion.

The training will be facilitated by Ms. Sumaira Ghouri, an experienced corporate trainer, course facilitator, lecturer and public speaker with more than 12 years of professional experience in human resources, administration, training and development. Her career has included progressive roles ranging from HR Generalist to Manager Training across several industries, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, textiles, printing and packaging, import-export and professional training.

Ghouri has trained and taught more than 2,500 professionals, ranging from junior staff members to senior executives and directors. Her professional areas include Microsoft Office, Power BI, Tableau, Human Resource Management, Labour Laws and Soft Skills. Her academic and professional qualifications include an MS in Business Administration, MBA in Human Resource Management and Management Information Systems, master’s degrees in Economics and Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Laws and Labour Administration, for which she received a gold medal, and a Diploma in Information Technology.

The training investment for the workshop has been set at PKR 18,000 plus applicable tax per participant. Professionals interested in attending have been given October 14, 2026, as the last date for nominations. The schedule provides participants with a full working day at the Karachi Campus, with the programme running from the morning through the afternoon.

NIBAF Pakistan has invited organisations and individual professionals from relevant fields to nominate participants for the session. Registration and nomination-related queries can be submitted through the contact channels provided by the institution. Participants and organisations seeking further information can contact registration@nibaf.gov.pk or marketing@nibaf.org.pk, while telephone assistance is available at 021-35277511 and 051-9269850. The October 15 workshop adds to professional training opportunities focused on practical data and technology skills for Pakistan’s business workforce. With analysts, finance professionals, sales and marketing teams increasingly using data for reporting and decision-making, the session is positioned around the practical use of Microsoft Power Query for organising, transforming and automating data workflows.
