NIBAF Pakistan has announced a one-day professional training program designed to help busy professionals improve their productivity using Microsoft Excel. Scheduled for October 27, 2026, the session will take place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the institution’s Karachi campus. The training aims to introduce practical techniques that can help participants complete routine tasks more efficiently, manage data effectively and make better use of Excel in their daily work. The fee is PKR 18,000 per participant, plus applicable taxes, and the nomination deadline is October 26, 2026.
The program is intended for professionals who regularly use spreadsheets to organise information, prepare reports, maintain records or support business decisions. Microsoft Excel is widely used across finance, banking, administration, accounting and other business functions. However, employees may spend unnecessary time completing repetitive tasks when they are unfamiliar with useful features, formulas and efficient working methods. The announced training is designed to help participants strengthen their Excel skills and explore ways to improve the handling of everyday workplace assignments.
Productivity techniques in spreadsheet software can help professionals organise information, perform calculations and present data in a more manageable format. A stronger understanding of Excel can also make it easier to review large sets of information, maintain structured records and prepare reports for colleagues or management. For employees working under tight deadlines, using available tools more effectively can reduce manual effort and leave more time for analysis and other responsibilities. The specific techniques covered in the session will be important in determining how participants can apply the training to their individual work requirements.
The program will be facilitated by Sumaira Ghouri, an experienced corporate trainer, course facilitator, lecturer and public speaker. According to NIBAF Pakistan’s announcement, Ghouri has more than 12 years of experience and has trained or taught over 2,500 business professionals. The announcement also describes her as Pakistan’s first female Microsoft Office corporate trainer. Her experience in training professionals and delivering educational sessions is intended to support the program’s focus on practical workplace skills.
For finance and banking professionals, Excel proficiency can be particularly useful in tasks involving financial records, calculations, reconciliations, budgets and reporting. Accountants may use spreadsheets to organise transactions and prepare working papers, while analysts can use them to structure data and support financial assessments. Administrative and business teams can also benefit from more efficient methods of maintaining lists, tracking activities and preparing summaries. Although the requirements differ by role, spreadsheet skills remain relevant wherever employees need to organise and work with structured information.
Improving productivity through software training can also support consistency in workplace processes. When employees understand the tools available to them, they may be better positioned to reduce avoidable manual steps and organise information in a repeatable way. Effective spreadsheet use still requires careful checking, particularly when calculations or reports inform financial and operational decisions. Training can help participants improve their approach, while accuracy and appropriate review remain important parts of professional practice.
NIBAF Pakistan has encouraged interested professionals and organisations to register for the session before the nomination deadline. The one-day format allows participants to focus on improving a specific workplace skill without committing to a longer training schedule. Employers may also consider the program as part of staff development plans for teams that depend on spreadsheet-based work. Participants should contact the institution for further details about the session and registration arrangements.
Nominations must be submitted by October 26, 2026, one day before the training takes place. Interested individuals can contact NIBAF Pakistan through registration@nibaf.gov.pk or marketing@nibaf.org.pk.
