NIBAF Pakistan has announced the launch of Batch 6 of its Certification in Treasury Management, a professional qualification developed in collaboration with CFA Society Pakistan and supported by the Financial Market Association. The programme has been designed to provide treasury professionals and individuals seeking careers in treasury and financial markets with practical knowledge aligned with Pakistan’s financial environment. NIBAF Pakistan said the certification addresses a gap in standard international programmes by incorporating Pakistan-specific regulatory requirements, dealing mechanisms and standard operating procedures. The curriculum has been developed through contributions from the State Bank of Pakistan, CFA Society Pakistan, the Financial Market Association and leading industry practitioners.
The Certification in Treasury Management is being offered as a self-study programme, allowing participants to prepare for the examination independently while accessing the programme’s study materials and required documentation. Registration for Batch 6 will remain open until September 15, 2026, while the examination is tentatively scheduled for the last week of September 2026. Applicants must have a minimum of 16 years of formal education to qualify for the programme. The fee has been set at PKR 150,000, excluding applicable taxes, with the programme intended for professionals who want to strengthen their treasury knowledge, improve their qualifications or prepare for roles involving financial markets and treasury functions.
The programme is open to existing treasury professionals as well as individuals planning to pursue careers in corporate treasury, banking treasury, fund management, insurance and brokerage management. NIBAF Pakistan said the certification has been structured around practical and locally relevant skills as financial markets and domestic and international financial conditions continue to change. The involvement of the State Bank of Pakistan, CFA Society Pakistan, Financial Market Association and industry practitioners is intended to ensure that the curriculum reflects the regulatory environment and operating practices relevant to treasury functions in Pakistan.
Participants can also benefit from a range of discount options offered under the programme. An early bird discount of 10% is available for nominations submitted by August 31, 2026. Group discounts are also available, with a 5% discount for three participants, a 10% discount for five participants and a 25% discount for groups of 10 participants. NIBAF Pakistan has clarified that participants can avail themselves of only one discount option. The structure provides individuals and organisations with an opportunity to reduce the programme cost depending on the timing of registration or the number of participants nominated.
Registration for the Certification in Treasury Management Batch 6 can be completed online through the designated registration platform. After applying, participants are required to complete the payment process and submit proof of payment to NIBAF Pakistan. Once the registration process has been completed, participants will receive a confirmation email containing login credentials for online study materials along with information regarding examination documentation requirements. The self-study format allows participants to prepare for the examination while managing their preparation around their existing professional responsibilities.
The launch of Batch 6 expands NIBAF Pakistan’s professional development offerings for individuals working in or preparing to enter treasury and financial market functions. By combining input from financial sector institutions, professional bodies and industry practitioners, the programme is intended to provide participants with knowledge relevant to Pakistan’s treasury environment rather than relying solely on international frameworks. Registration will close on September 15, with the examination currently planned for the last week of September 2026. Interested applicants can seek further information and registration assistance from NIBAF Pakistan through its designated email addresses, telephone numbers and WhatsApp contact.
