ACCA Pakistan Announces Finance Act 2026 and Digital Transformation Sessions

ACCA Pakistan is set to organise two professional sessions on September 10, 2026, covering developments in Pakistan’s tax environment as well as the country’s wider digital transformation agenda. The programmes will bring together professionals and industry experts to discuss changes introduced through the Finance Act 2026 and examine how policy, talent and technology can contribute to Pakistan’s digital development. The sessions are scheduled to take place through both an online format and an in person gathering in Islamabad.

The first programme will be held as part of the Tax & Law Masterminds Series 2026 and will focus on “Finance Act 2026: Key Changes & Implications – Part I.” The session is scheduled for September 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and will be conducted live through Zoom. The programme is intended to help participants remain informed about the latest developments in Pakistan’s tax landscape while gaining a clearer understanding of the practical implications of the changes introduced through the Finance Act 2026.

The tax focused session will feature M. Ayaz Khan, Controller Finance at DHL and an ACA (ICAEW) and FCCA, along with Kaleem Ullah Tipu ACA. The speakers will discuss key changes introduced through the Finance Act 2026 and examine how these developments could affect businesses and professionals. By focusing on practical implications, the session is expected to provide participants with an opportunity to understand the relevance of the latest tax measures in their professional and business activities.

Alongside the tax programme, ACCA Pakistan is also scheduled to host an Islamabad session focused on the future of digital transformation, policy, talent and technology. The event will take place on September 10, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Islamabad. The programme will bring together industry leaders and experts for discussions on Pakistan’s digital development and the policy, human capital and technological requirements associated with building a stronger digital economy.

The event will feature a guest of honour address titled “Transforming Pakistan into a Digital Nation,” providing a dedicated discussion on the country’s digital transformation direction. The programme will also include a panel discussion titled “Rewiring Policy, Talent & Technology for the Next Era.” The discussion will focus on the relationship between policy development, skilled talent and technology, while bringing together professionals from different areas to share their perspectives on the future of digital transformation in Pakistan.

The panel will feature Dr. Sohail Munir, Syed Haris Mahmood, Aleena Tanvir, Farah Sheikh and Hassan Abbas. Their participation will contribute different professional perspectives to the discussion around policy, talent and technology. The session is positioned as an opportunity for attendees to engage with industry leaders and experts while considering the requirements for continued digital development and the role of skilled professionals and appropriate policy frameworks.

Both programmes reflect ACCA Pakistan’s focus on professional learning and discussion around important developments affecting businesses and professionals. The Finance Act session will provide participants with an opportunity to examine recent tax changes and their practical implications, while the Islamabad event will focus on the broader digital transformation agenda. Together, the sessions cover two important areas for professionals, combining regulatory and tax developments with discussions on technology, talent and policy.

The Tax & Law Masterminds Series 2026 session will be available through Zoom Live, while the digital transformation programme will be held in Islamabad. With both events scheduled for September 10, professionals will have opportunities to participate in discussions covering current tax developments and the future direction of Pakistan’s digital economy.
