NIBAF Pakistan has announced a one-day professional training programme focused on measures to enhance the security of digital banking products and services. The training is scheduled to take place on October 27, 2026, at the NIBAF Pakistan Karachi Campus and will address security, fraud prevention, risk management, compliance and consumer protection issues relevant to digital banking operations. The programme is aimed at professionals responsible for managing digital financial products, technology infrastructure, information security, operational risk and related banking functions.
The training will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on October 27, providing participants with a full-day programme covering security considerations across different digital banking channels. The training investment has been set at PKR 18,000 plus applicable tax per participant. NIBAF Pakistan has set October 26, 2026, as the last date for nominations, giving participating institutions and professionals time to submit their registrations ahead of the programme.
The programme is designed for a broad group of banking professionals involved in digital financial services and security. The target audience includes fraud risk managers responsible for digital banking, chief information security officers, chief information officers, chief technology officers and information security or IT managers. Product managers overseeing internet banking, mobile banking, cards, USSD and branchless banking services are also included, along with professionals working in product strategy, digital channels and branchless banking.
NIBAF Pakistan has also invited professionals working in compliance, operational risk, audit and inspection functions, as well as call center managers. The range of participants reflects the multiple functions involved in protecting digital banking services, where technology controls, fraud monitoring, customer support, compliance procedures and operational processes can intersect. The training is therefore structured for professionals whose responsibilities involve either managing digital banking products or overseeing the risks associated with their delivery.
The session will be facilitated by Nawroz Muhammad Ali, Advisor to the Banking Mohtasib Pakistan and a Certified Digital Financial Practitioner (CDFP). According to NIBAF Pakistan, Ali is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) with more than 27 years of experience spanning commercial banking, microfinance and internal audit. His professional background also includes a decade of senior leadership experience at the State Bank of Pakistan, while his CDFP certification was obtained from the Digital Frontier Institute.
NIBAF Pakistan said Ali’s background brings regulatory, compliance and consumer protection perspectives to the programme. These areas are increasingly relevant to digital banking as financial institutions expand services through mobile applications, internet banking, cards, USSD platforms and branchless banking channels. Security measures for such services require attention not only to technology systems but also to operational procedures, fraud risks, customer interactions and compliance responsibilities.
The training will take place at NIBAF Pakistan’s Karachi Campus and is intended to provide banking professionals with a focused forum for examining security measures applicable to digital financial products and services. The programme’s subject matter covers areas that are relevant to institutions managing digital channels and customer-facing financial technology, while the involvement of professionals from risk, audit, compliance and technology functions allows the topic to be addressed from different operational perspectives.
Professionals and institutions interested in participating can submit nominations and registration requests to registration@nibaf.gov.pk and marketing@nibaf.org.pk. NIBAF Pakistan has also provided contact numbers 021-35277511 and 051-9269850 for further information, along with WhatsApp contact 0303-0652963. With nominations closing on October 26 and the training scheduled for October 27, the programme is set to bring together banking and technology professionals for a dedicated session on strengthening security across digital banking products and services.
