Bank Alfalah has inaugurated Pakistan’s first Digital Islamic Consumer Finance Centre (ICFC) at Naya Nazimabad in Karachi, introducing a one stop model that brings digital consumer financing, Islamic banking and self service digital banking facilities together at a single location. The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior management of the bank, along with State Bank of Pakistan Deputy Governor Saleem Ullah and Arif Habib, Founder of Arif Habib Group.
The new facility introduces a banking model designed to simplify access to Shariah compliant consumer financing by combining product discovery, specialist advice, digital applications and banking services within one destination. Customers visiting the centre can explore financing options for homes, vehicles, solar solutions and household appliances before proceeding with their applications.
Under the new model, customers can select products and receive guidance from qualified personnel before applying for financing through a digital process. The centre allows customers to complete their financing application without traditional paperwork, with digital credit assessment and approval available through a digital credit agent. The process is designed to reduce the time required to complete consumer financing applications and provide customers with a more direct route from product selection to financing approval.
The centre also provides an on site inventory covering homes, vehicles, solar solutions and household appliances. Customers can review available products before deciding which financing option is suitable for their requirements. The integration of product discovery and financing means customers can explore potential purchases and proceed with Shariah compliant financing at the same location.
Bank Alfalah has also partnered with property developers, solar solution providers, automotive companies and consumer brands as part of the new model. These partnerships allow customers to compare products and receive guidance during the purchasing and financing process. According to the bank, customers can complete their digital financing journey and obtain their selected product within a single session.
Atif Bajwa, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank Alfalah, said the centre represents the future of consumer banking in Pakistan. He said customers would no longer need to visit multiple locations or complete lengthy paperwork to finance major purchases. By bringing product discovery, expert advisory services, digital financing and Islamic banking together, the bank aims to change the way customers access consumer financial services while expanding availability of Shariah compliant solutions.
The launch also marks another milestone in Bank Alfalah’s nationwide network expansion. The bank has now surpassed 1,200 branches across Pakistan, while the Naya Nazimabad facility represents its 451st Islamic Banking branch. The expansion increases the bank’s physical presence for customers seeking Shariah compliant banking products and services.
The new centre builds on the growth of Bank Alfalah Islamic during 2026, with the bank citing increased financing assets, deposits and network expansion as part of the segment’s development. The launch of the Digital Islamic Consumer Finance Centre adds a technology focused channel to this expansion by bringing digital financing into a physical banking environment.
The model is based on integrating digital technology with ecosystem partnerships and Shariah compliant financing. Rather than separating product selection, financial advice, financing applications and banking services across different locations, the centre brings these activities together under one roof.
The digital financing process is intended to provide customers with faster access to credit decisions while reducing paperwork. Customers can submit their applications digitally, undergo an instant credit assessment and receive approval through the digital credit agent. The setup is designed around a single customer journey covering product exploration, financing and banking requirements.
Bank Alfalah expects the Digital Islamic Consumer Finance Centre model to support greater convenience and faster financing while contributing to wider access to Shariah compliant financial services. The Naya Nazimabad facility could also serve as a model for the bank’s future expansion of integrated consumer finance services across Pakistan.
The launch reflects the growing role of digital technology in Pakistan’s banking sector, particularly in consumer finance. By combining Islamic banking services with digital financing capabilities and partnerships across housing, automotive, solar and consumer goods sectors, Bank Alfalah is introducing a consolidated approach to consumer financing that brings multiple stages of the purchasing process into a single customer experience.
